Overview of Conservation Station & The Animation Experience
The main theme is wildlife conservation awareness. You’ll walk around inside an air conditioned building where you’ll view exhibits at your own pace. You’ll see into examining rooms and feeding areas, and you may catch animals being taken care of. It’s possible that you could view a surgery or other medical procedure in progress, but there’s often nothing going on.
Tip: If you’re interested in seeing live medical procedures on animals, when you arrive at the park ask Guest Relations to check whether there are any scheduled procedures that day. Animal examinations are held between 9-10 AM almost every morning, and may extend through 11:30 AM., but there are occasional emergency situations that could take place throughout the day.
The Animation Experience: Disney also added The Animation Experience where you can learn to draw Disney characters such as Simba from the Lion King. Guests sit in chairs and are given a board to draw on, paper, etc. They watch the artist/teacher’s step-by-step directions on screen.
