Beginning in February 2016, Animal Kingdom will offer a new park-wide hunt game called The Lion Guard Adventure. Kids (and the young at heart) will be going on a quest that will make them into honorary members of the Lion Guard. The game is included with your park admission.
The game is based on the the TV Movie called “The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar”, and the new Disney Junior TV series premiering January 15th on Disney Channel, also called “The Lion Guard”. The game sends young adventurers throughout the Animal Kingdom park on a search for five Lion Guard characters (Kion, Bunga, Fuli, Beshte, Ono).
Guests can get a Lion Guard Adventure Map that will lead them to character statues representing the above characters, in themed areas of the park. Whenever a character is found, there’s a banner with a sign that shares the character’s attribute. When all five characters and their attributes have been found, you’re sent to Rafiki’s Planet Watch where cast members will lead fun activities, and induct the kids into the Lion Guard by leading them in a pledge. Kids get a Lion Guard Button. You’ll also have a character experience there with one of the five characters, and you can take photos.
There’s a learning element to this experience, with lessons about animals and the Circle of Life throughout the process.
