Epcot is going to run the International Flower & Garden Festival to 90 days! More fun for us. We really enjoy this festival. The creativity is astounding, the food is fun, and the live musicians and bands that play in the Garden Rocks concert series really add to the experience.
We’re happy to hear that this year the festival will be held from March 2 to May 30, 2016 – 90 days rather than the usual 75 days.
The festival includes food booths similar to what you’ll find in the Food & Wine Festival, though there are not nearly as many. Still you can enjoy small bites of a nice variety of foods. The food is not included in your admission fee, and I’d estimate that you’ll pay between $3.50 and $7 for each item that you try.
This year Disney will be adding some new character topiaries. One new topiary will include Donald Duck’s nephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie. Another will be a Ranger Mickey topiary garden.
A new outdoor climbing and play area called the “Fab Five” play garden will be added. It features Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Pluto and Donald Duck topiaries. It will have musical instruments built into it.
Returning will be the live butterfly garden that will include butterflies just emerging from their chrysalises.
I hope you enjoy! Let us know what you think of this festival in the comment section below.
